Ninth in the series, The Citizens National Bank was the first branch office of the Greencastle, Pennsylvania based bank. The building is located on a plot that is rich in history. The plot was once occupied by a house dating to Revolutionary War days. At some point in history, a tavern stood on this site as did the log structure of the Brumbaugh Hotel. The hotel building was later modified into a two family dwelling and was last owned by Earl and Jean Leckron. The building was razed in 1996 to make way for the modern banking facility that operates in 2012. Doris J. Oberholzer, the longest tenured employee of the office, handed out lollipops to childern who are now adults with childern of their own to whom she handed out lollipops until her recent retirement.
